Those are sound ideas. I try to do that, but when I needed a new car eight years ago, I found that I couldn't afford an American made one -- even though I was buying used. Same when I purchased Cheryl a car last spring. We ended up going foreign because we couldn't find a decent American car in our price range. Could we have lived without some of the extras -- probably -- but why should Cheryl drive a car with crap accessories just so we can buy American?
